The Joelle Teachey Society
TreesUpstate is proud to introduce the Joelle Teachey Society, honoring our most dedicated and impactful volunteers. Named for Joelle Teachey, who served as Executive Director from 2007–2023, this society celebrates her leadership in growing TreesUpstate into a thriving nonprofit. Under her guidance, over 10,000 volunteers helped plant 189 species and cultivars of trees across the Upstate. Joelle now serves as Executive Counsel and Turkey Day Run Race Director, continuing to guide our future.
